Today, cloud computing technologies are transforming individuals and organizations, offering various advantages in the information technology sector. However, various positive and negative factors play a role in the adoption of this technology. This study aims to examine the factors that determine ICT professionals' approach to cloud computing technology. The study measured both the positive and negative factors affecting cloud computing using the extended technology acceptance model.
The study was conducted in Turkey and Azerbaijan, analyzing the differences in ICT professionals' approaches to cloud computing technology in both countries. A Likert-type scale survey was used as the data collection tool, and eight positive and four negative factors affecting cloud computing technology adoption were assessed.
The findings indicate that factors such as auditability, availability, interoperability, performance, and portability support the adoption of cloud computing technology, while elements such as security, personal data protection, and governance may have negative effects on usage decisions. The study contributes to future academic studies on the acceptance of cloud computing technology by revealing the differences between the two countries.
