Keywords:
Global Climate Change, Carbon Sequestration, Sustainable AgricultureSynopsis
This full-text proceedings book of the II. The International Global Climate Change Congress brings together interdisciplinary scholars to address the multidimensional effects of the climate crisis. The work examines the problems caused by climate change and proposes solutions across diverse fields such as agriculture, urbanisation, cultural heritage, and ecology. In studies focused on agricultural sustainability, the carbon sequestration potential of tea-cultivated soils and pastures, the role of fat additives used in ruminant nutrition in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the physiological effects of flooding disasters on greenhouse plants are detailed. Furthermore, the impacts of global warming on nectar secretion and the threats to food sustainability are analysed. In the context of urbanisation, the management of urban trees, the use of water-saving ground cover plants as alternatives to turfgrass areas, and the ecological problems created by contemporary urbanisation are discussed. The book also includes the works of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in the climate change adaptation process and strategies developed for regional sustainability.
