This book, titled Farklı Boyutlarıyla Yaşam Kalitesi (Quality of Life with Different Dimensions), compiles current research that profoundly examines the concept of quality of life from a multidimensional perspective. It is emphasised that quality of life cannot be addressed through a single dimension, as it is influenced by diverse factors, including individuals' living standards, health status, education, economic situation, social relations, and environmental factors. The book features selected articles from presentations at the International Quality of Life Conference, organised by the Quality of Life Association (YAKALDER), established in Çanakkale in 2023. The topics covered include the alternative of happiness as the ultimate purpose of the economy to quality of life, a review of the quality of life literature in Türkiye using topic modeling a comparison of OECD countries based on the Human Development Index the quality of life of disadvantaged groups (children with disabilities, hospitalized children, and elderly individuals), and the transformation of quality of life through artificial intelligence applications in smart cities. Furthermore, the book analyses the role of cultural, geographical, and demographic differences in the perception of quality of life. Regarded as a first step towards fostering quality-of-life awareness, this work is dedicated to those striving to make life more valuable and of higher quality for all living beings.
