Pandemi ve Ekonomi Kıskacında Sağlık

This editorial book, titled "Pandemi ve Ekonomi Kıskacında Sağlık" (Health in the Grip of Pandemic and Economy) compiles 7 selected scientific studies in the fields of Health Economics and Health Econometrics presented at the International Health Conference with Different Dimensions, held online on November 12-14, 2020. Edited by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge UYSAL ŞAHİN and Assist. Prof. Dr. Merve ERTOK ONURLU, the work emphasizes the critical importance of these integrated disciplines during a period when the Covid-19 epidemic profoundly impacted human life, particularly in health and economics. The book covers a range of topics using theoretical and econometric methods, including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy , a comparison of fiscal measures adopted in Türkiye and EU countries against the epidemic , precautions taken in the banking sector and their effect on global financial stability during the pandemic , and the relationship between health expenditures and economic growth (analyzed using the Fourier approach for Türkiye). Furthermore, it includes works addressing the economic dimension of health in the context of agricultural self-sufficiency and the role of geothermal resources in thermal tourism. This book aims to contribute significantly to the literature for all researchers working in the field of health economics during and after the pandemic period.
